Antioxidants
During the production of energy in the human body, free radicals are constantly formed. These reactive particles are necessary for many processes in our body. For example, they perform important tasks such as killing bacteria. However, if they are present in excess, e.g., caused by environmental toxins, nicotine, obesity, stress or UV radiation, they can impair cell functions.
Antioxidants counteract the oxidation processes triggered by free radicals and ensure a natural balance in our body.
