Iodoral® 50 mg - 30 tablets

Iodine is one of the essential trace elements that our body cannot produce on its own. It is a component of the thyroid hormone thyroxine and is therefore of central importance for the functioning of the metabolism. All human organ systems (especially the nervous system) depend on iodine. Iodine is also important for maintaining body temperature (basal metabolism) and for cell division and growth. In addition, it plays a role in maintaining normal skin (regenerative ability), contributes to normal cognitive function and thus plays an important role in mental movement and activity. It supports normal growth in children. An undersupply of iodine can become noticeable through an enlargement of the thyroid gland as a goiter (goiter). The formulation of the product Iodoral is based on Lugol's solution. Each tablet contains a mixture of iodine (20 mg) and potassium iodide (30 mg).
