Description
Liposomal Cat’s Claw Synergy provides cat’s claw and monolaurin, two ingredients known for their role in
supporting the immune system, along with additional ingredients to promote healthy immune function.*
Cat’s Claw
Uncaria tomentosa, better known as cat’s claw, is a plant
indigenous to the Amazon rain forest and other tropical areas
of South America. The use of cat’s claw for medicinal purposes
dates back at least as far as the Inca civilization, where it was
used as an anti-inflammatory, to fight viral infections and to
stimulate the immune system. Cat’s claw remains a sacred plant
among several indigenous Peruvian and Amazonian tribes,
and modern scientific research has confirmed the antiviral,
antioxidant, immune-modulating effects of this plant, as well
as its ability to support a healthy inflammatory response.* Cat’s
claw preparations are made from the plant’s roots and the vine
bark, which are crushed and made into tea or into extracts such
as that in Liposomal Cat’s Claw Synergy.
Monolaurin
Monolaurin is a powerful antiviral and antibacterial agent with efficacy across an impressive array of harmful
organisms and viruses, yeasts, and fungi.* Unlike conventional antibiotics, it has not been shown to result in
antibacterial resistance, nor to have adverse effects on beneficial gut flora.* Humans metabolize small amounts
of monolaurin from lauric acid (such as is found in coconut oil), but the amount is believed to be relatively low.
Lauric acid itself has antiviral and antibacterial properties but monolaurin is more potent, and in order to achieve
the desired outcome with regard to supporting immune function, it may be necessary to supplement with higher
amounts than would be obtained from reasonable consumption of coconut products in the diet.
Additional Ingredients
Liposomal Cat’s Claw Synergy includes vitamin D3, which is well known for its role in supporting the immune system.*
Lemon balm extract contains oils that have antibacterial and antiviral properties. It also helps promote mental
calm by encouraging the action of GABA, the brain’s primary inhibitory neurotransmitter. Owing to the role of the
sympathetic nervous system (“fight or flight”) in influencing immune function, the calming effects of lemon balm
are a helpful complement to its immune functions.*
How to Take
• As a dietary supplement, take 1 mL (approx. 2 pumps), or as directed by your health care practitioner.
• Since the very small size of the liposome particles allows for some absorption to take place right away, it is
recommended to hold the product in the mouth for 30 seconds before swallowing.
