Description
What is Ultra-C 2000 mg?
Ultra-C contains 2,000 mg of vitamin C supplemented by 200 mg of rosehip to increase bioavailability per delayed-release tablet.
What is vitamin C?
Vitamin C is the most important water-soluble antioxidant and protects our body from free radicals (aggressive substances that can damage tissues and cells). Known causes of this are smoking, stress and an unhealthy diet. Antioxidants render these free radicals harmless and help the body stay healthy. Vitamin C has been proven to have a positive effect in many different places and in the most diverse processes of our body:
It contributes to the normal functioning of the immune system, as well as the nervous system, increases iron absorption and contributes to normal collagen formation, as well as to the normal functioning of blood vessels, cartilage and skin.
Vitamin C in our diet
Since our body cannot synthesize vitamin C on its own, we have to absorb it completely through food.
Vitamin C sources are mainly fruits and vegetables as well as their juices and smoothies. Citrus fruits, kiwis, berries, strawberries and cabbages in particular are rich in vitamin C.
Ultra-C 2000 mg as a tablet
Ultra-C 2000 mg of NaturesPlus contains 60 or 90 delayed-release tablets.
