Spore-forming probiotics are soil-based microorganisms found in dirt and vegetation that possess the ability to surround themselves with durable coats of protein, allowing them to survive in hostile environmental conditions. The endospores encapsulate the beneficial bacteria strains, making them extremely stable and highly resistant to stomach acid’s low pH, resulting in delivery of more viable probiotics to the small intestine where they then revert to active, growing bacteria. Bacillus strains have the intrinsic ability to produce enzymes, vitamins, and carotenoids that can support healthy immune function.*

Solarplast® is an innovative ingredient that supports the body’s natural energy production and repair mechanisms in order to help support healthy aging.* Solarplast® is an extract of organic spinach that has been uniquely processed to isolate, enhance the absorption of, and preserve high concentrations of chloroplasts (plant compounds that convert light to energy) from dark leafy greens. Isolated chloroplasts from dark leafy greens provide an abundance of antioxidant compounds (substances that protect cells from damage) and other proteins that work to counteract free radical damage, which is associated with a wide array of health challenges. They also help spark energy production to support metabolic processes.

Beta-glucan (Saccharomyces cerevisiae) is a soluble fiber derived from the cell walls of algae, bacteria, fungi, yeast, and certain cereal grains such as barley and oats. Beta-glucans have been shown to promote healthy immune function and immune cell activity.*

Vitamin C (as ascorbic acid) and Zinc (as zinc citrate) are both essential for maintaining proper immune system function.* Vitamin C is an essential water-soluble nutrient that is unable to be made by the human body, thus it must be supplied through the diet or supplementation. Vitamin C accumulates within white blood cells to high concentrations, thus contributing to a normal immune response.* Zinc is an important inclusion in this formula, as it is involved in virtually every aspect of immune function. It is also required for the proper function of the thymus, the primary lymphoid organ where immune cells mature.
