L-5-MTHF - 60 capsules

This L-5-MTHF formula provides 5 mg (8,500 mcg DFE) of biologically active folate, which is essential for cell division and growth and for proper homocysteine metabolism.* This formula provides folate in the bioidentical, bioactive form, 5-methyltetrahydrofolate (L-5-MTHF). The “L” in L-5-MTHF signifies its all-natural [6S] isomer, which is the active circulating form of folate found in the body and one of the several forms found in food. In nature, it is found only as the [6S] isomer, which is why DFH uses L-5-MTHF (as Quatrefolic®), the natural isomer, rather than the mixed (or racemic) form. This innovative form of folate has demonstrated high bioavailability, solubilitiy, and long-lasting stability.
