Description
What is L-Tyrosine?
L-tyrosine is a non-essential amino acid produced in the body from the essential amino acid phenylalanine. In addition, L-tyrosine can be absorbed from food. This amino acid is a precursor substance for the neurotransmitters dopamine and norepinephrine.
L-tyrosine in our food
Good sources of L-tyrosine include cheese, soybeans, eggs, meat, fish, nuts, and whole grains. Since the body's production of L-tyrosine depends on the availability of the essential amino acid phenylalanine, it is important that this amino acid is present in sufficient quantities. Phenylalanine is found in many animal and plant protein sources, such as cottage cheese, chicken, fish, eggs, lentils, and peanuts.
L-Tyrosine Capsules
L-Tyrosine from Allergy Research Group® offers L-tyrosine in the free L-form. This product provides 500 mg of pure L-tyrosine per vegetarian capsule. Each package contains 100 capsules.
